How Cruel is Poverty

At the Corner of a street
Opening into a road,
There slept a man,
With no clothes on his body.

Poverty crept over his face
Hunger cried from his stomach
Nothing annoyed his deep sleep,
Not even his bare body.

He woke sometime later
And leaned over a door
Not considering his nudity
And started to beg for food

I gave him clothes to wear
He refused & asked for food
He cared for nothing but food
How Cruel is Poverty!.

Nature's Diamonds

In the morning, Crystal dew drops fall on the blades of Grass & Leaves,
And Glitter on Flowers & Crops,
They shine when the golden rays fall on them,
They sparkle in the nests of birds,
And twinkle like precious gems,
I ran to collect them in my hand & touch them with my fingers
At once they disappear, I don’t know where may be to a far away land !!!!!

Essence of Bhagavad-Gita

Why are you unnecessarily worrying? Whom do you fear? Who can kill you? Soul is not born, nor does it die.

What has happened has happened for the best. What is happening is happening for the best. What will happen will happen for the best. Do not brood over the past. Do not worry about the future.

The present is on. What have you lost, that you are weeping? What have you brought, that you have lost? What have you made, that has been destroyed? You have not brought anything. What you have you got from here, what was given, was given here.

What you took, you took from this universe. What you gave, you gave into this universe. You have come empty handed and shall go empty handed. What is yours today was somebody else’s in the past and will be somebody else’s in the future. You think it is yours and are deeply engrossed in it. This attachment is the cause of all your sorrow. Change is the law of life. In a moment you are a millionaire, in the very next you are a poor man.

This body is not yours, nor you are of this body. Earth, Water, Air, Fire & Ether comprise this body and unto this shall it return but the soul is immortal, then what are you?

Surrender unto the lord. He is the ultimate support. He who experiences, this is completely free from fear, worry & despair. Whatever you do offer it unto him. By this you shall forever experience external Bliss

- Sri Krishna
